We got an email from Kirstin in December asking if we would do a family photoshoot with her and her family, when we visited the islands in January. Her husband Ólavur works on a fishing boat, so it would be a hit or miss if he was gonna be at home for the arranged day. We arranged their shoot to be mid January, so that in case Ólavur was away fishing there would still be time to rearrange. But lady luck was on our side. The day when the shoot was arranged for was one of the most beautiful days, the islands were still covered in snow, the sunset was golden and most important, Ólavur was at home. Their 1 year old son Emil did so well. He brought his little play piano along and even if he is not walking yet, he has some impressive dance moves in the making :D The shoot took place on the island of Eysturoy, right outside the village Strendur which is where Kirstin is from. I love how the familyshoots in the Faroe Islands always take me to a new location, this is a great way to experience this beautiful country and its equally beautiful people.
